Dr. Sadegh Amini Koves is a Board Certified Dermatologist practicing in Miami and Hialeah, FL. He was born and raised in Caracas, Venezuela. He attended Medical School at the Universidad Central de Venezuela where he earned his Medical Doctor (M.D) degree in 1989. After a two-year Internal Medicine Internship, he did his Dermatology Residency also at the Universidad Central de Venezuela, Instituto de Biomedicina from 1992 to 1994.

After Graduating, Dr. Amini Koves worked as a Dermatologist in private practice for 7 years, and then moved to the United States of America in 2003 when he started the road towards becoming certified in Dermatology in the US. In 2010, he finished a three-year Clinical Research Fellowship at the Department of Dermatology and Cutaneous Surgery at the University of Miami with his mentor Dr. Brian Berman. Then he completed a General Surgery Internship at Jackson Memorial Hospital in 2011 and finished his Dermatology Residency at Jackson Memorial Hospital/University of Miami in 2014. At his graduation, Dr. Sadegh Amini Koves was recognized with an award for his Excellence in Dermatologic Surgery during his Residency. He currently is a voluntary Assistant Professor, Department of Dermatology and Cutaneous Surgery at the University of Miami’s Miller School of Medicine.

Dr. Sadegh Amini Koves’ areas of interest include general dermatology (including warts, hair and nail disorders), skin cancer prevention, detection and surgery, mole check and removal, lasers and cosmetic procedures, including Botox, fillers such as Juvederm, Restylane, Radiesse, Sculptra; Kybella, among others.

Dr. Amini Koves proudly comes from a family of dermatologists since both of his parents were dermatologists graduated at the New York University during the 1950s. Dr. Sadegh Amini Koves has given more than 50 presentations and conferences in national and international dermatological meetings, has published more than 90 articles in national and international peer-reviewed medical Journals, and has written several book chapters in national and international dermatology books.

Dr. Amini Koves is also a Diplomate of the American Board of Physician Specialties.

Daniel Rivlin, MD, is a Board Certified Dermatologist and a Board Certified Dermatopathologist. He is Fellowship trained in Mohs Surgery as well as Dermatopathology. Dr. Rivlin graduated from the University of Miami and received his medical degree from New York University School of Medicine. He completed Fellowships in Mohs Surgery at U.C.L.A. Medical Center and Dermatopathology at New York University Medical Center. While at U.C.L.A., Dr. Rivlin achieved an academic award for outstanding resident and soon after was appointmented as Director of Dermatopathology at U.C.L.A. Medical Center, Division of Dermatology.

Dr. Rivlin is a member of several prestigious medical organizations, the American Academy of Dermatology, the American College of Mohs Surgery and the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery. He has given presentations to professional groups domestically and internationally, produced several published articles and has written additional articles which are currently being reviewed for publication.

Dr. Rivlin has over 20 years of experience and expertise in the field of Mohs Surgery and we are pleased to have him provide care to our patients in our skin cancer treatment center.

Amy comes to us with a wealth of dermatology medical training and a strong research background. She received her undergraduate Bachelor’s of Science Degree from the University of Florida, Gainesville, FL and her Master’s in Medical Science from Wake Forest University, Winston-Salem, NC. Amy is fluent in both English and Spanish and will be assisting Dr. Crowell with both medical and cosmetic treatments.
